Former Acting Youth President of Ezetu Denounces “Doctored” Video, Says Assault Allegation Against Former CDC Chair Is False

John Young, former Acting Youth President of Ezetu — widely known by his nickname “Alkatel” — has publicly condemned a viral video alleging that members of the Ezetu youth assaulted former CDC Chairman Richard Emmanuel. In a formal statement released today, Young described the footage as misleading and partly manipulated.

According to Young, the incident referenced in the clip took place in December of last year and was an internal matter that has since been resolved amicably within the community. He emphasized that the episode was not connected to General Boyloaf and urged the public to distinguish settled local disputes from unrelated political actors.

“The video posted by Ebi John contains false allegations,” Young said. “Parts of the footage have been manipulated. I encourage everyone to disregard this misinformation and the doctored video.” He reiterated that the Ezetu community remains united and will not permit distorted media to damage its reputation.

Young’s statement frames the circulation of the clip as harmful disinformation. He declined in his statement to provide further operational specifics about how the footage was altered but stressed that the dispute’s resolution last December should put the matter to rest.

Local observers say the episode underscores growing concerns about manipulated media in community disputes, and calls for verification before sharing potentially inflammatory content are mounting. Community leaders and residents have been urged to seek clarification from involved parties and to rely on verified statements as the situation develops.

Comr. John Young signed off the statement as Former Acting Youth President, Ezetu. No immediate response was available from Mr. Richard Emmanuel.
